Shortly after I came out to British Columbia in early 2006 I had a case of severely high blood pressure. It wouldn't have been fair to an employer for me to work for them until I got my health situation sorted out. I was on medications to lower the blood pressure and it took until early 2007 to find the cause. I finally went to a naturopath who found that a microscopic parasite was the cause for all this.

While getting my health in order, I took up blogging to share my photography. This way I wasn't wasting time and others got to enjoy the photos, not just me and those close to me.

In May of this year I had a mini-stroke cause again by severely high blood pressure. I may end up gong to the naturopath again since the specialist and other MDs can't seem to find the cause. This has only been a problem out here. Before that in Ontario, the blood pressure was only marginally high, not severely high like in BC.

Knowledge is good because being forewarned is forearmed!

All that said, enjoy this blog and all the photos I share with you.

Cloud patterns and reflections

My old hard drive on my laptop computer died over three weeks ago and I am only now getting back to normal with the new drive working as planned. This is part of the reason why I haven't posted for a while. The other is that I have been rather busy and just lacked sufficient time to post.

A week ago Sunday I was in Vancouver during the afternoon going into the evening. I was struck by the unusual cloud patterns in the sky above these office towers on West Georgia Street at Burrard. Without the clouds this would just be an ordinary scene. Added to that are the reflections in the buildings. The building in the background in the first photo above is Hotel Vancouver on Burrard Street at West Georgia. Then the crane adds the the unusual scene. What are your thoughts and impressions?

Then this highrise office tower is on West Georgia Street at Thurlow Street. It appears to be the highest building in the Vancouver downtown.

Then above and below are images of the cloud patterns above Hotel Vancouver. This is an unusual scene I often don't see and I couldn't resist taking some photos. Comment if you like!

Hey, Robert, that's what attracted me to the scene and why I decided to take the shots I did. Don;t see this too often.

Oh, if you would like to know anything about Alsace (ie. Strassbourg) let me know. I've been there three times myself. Strassbourg has so much to offer, as far as places to see and places to eat. The food is special. Email me privately and I can tell you more! - Volker

It was an unusual scene so I just had to take the photos. Such things are not often seen. A clear blue sky would not have done it for me. This was just a perfect opportunity. - Volker
